PIR Sandwich Panel

Poly Isocyanurate (PIR) sandwich panels are currently the most popular insulated metal building materials that are used for roofs, walls and ceilings. It is a composite material; the PIR insulation material is sandwiched between two layers of metal sheets or other compatible sheets. PIR core insulation material is made by the reaction of Isocyanate with Polyether to catalyst action. The raw material that is used for PUF/ PU (Poly urethane Foam) and PIR are similar, but the proportion of MDI is higher and reaction agent is different in the case of the PIR. Hi Rib PIR panels are for roof and side cladding. Low/ Micro rib panels are for walls/partitions and ceiling. No-rib (without ribs on the skin) panels are for cleanroom applications. Pre-painted GI, Aluzinc and Aluminum are the skin material in various thicknesses. The PIR panels are offered in various thicknesses depending upon customers’ requirements and project demand. These PIR insulated sandwich panels are ideal for the construction of Industrial buildings, cold stores, clean rooms, commercial buildings, steel frame structures, warehouses, refineries and chemical plants. Sheds for Agricultural purposes, pack houses, logistics centers, prefab housing, Exhibition Halls / Expo centers, Logistics and Distribution centers, shopping malls, Sports and Fitness complexes etc. PIR panels are preferred over PUF/ PU panels. PIR slows down the flames' spread but also lowers smoke emission compared to polyurethane foam (PU/PUF/ PUR). Poly-urethane foam sandwich panels are generally classified as B3 and B2 (by adding some flame retardants) fire classification, but PIR sandwich panels are B2 and can achieve B1. PUF/PU/PUR generally achieves 35–45 Kg. /Cu’m density whereas PIR can achieve 45-55 Kg. /Cu’m density. To meet strength requirements. The temperature range of the PIR is better than PUF/PU, and water absorption of PIR Foam is lower than PU/PUR. · Low thermal conductivity and good fire resistance make PIR an ideal insulation material. Good thermal resistance and dimensional stability. · These panels are lightweight and shock-resistant, and have the ability to withstand significant loads. · Not easily ignitable, very low/ negligible water permeability.
